About Me: The Juggler

Hi, I'm Amy!

A few years ago, I read a phrase that resonated; “It’s the struggle of the juggle.”  Isn’t that the truth?  I thought about using that  phrase as the name for this blog.  Then I realized that I didn't want to focus on the struggle.

Oh but the juggle!  I can’t ignore it, I may not always want to embrace it, but it's a way of life for me—and for many of us.  Somewhat circus-like, usually more than three rings, plenty of sweet and salty snacks, elephants in the room and heaven knows there are clowns at every turn.  Sound familiar?

I juggle being the best version of myself.  I juggle being a good wife, a Mommy, a sister, daughter, employee, friend, neighbor…and that’s not even a complete list.  I juggle kiddos’ schedules, household stuff, making time for me and making time for my marriage.  Pivoting between roles and responsibilities is a necessary skill and is called on regularly.  Again—sound familiar?

My best friend, Mark, and I are celebrating 17 years of marriage this fall and we have the world’s coolest kids. Abby Katherine is 11 and starting middle school (gulp) and Alyssa Jane, who just turned 6 is ready to conquer first grade.  Fun fact?  Their birthdays are 2 days apart.  Yup, for real.

Our little happy crew lives in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh, where we can often be found at the soccer fields cheering on our girls and their teams.  I also cheer for the Pittsburgh Penguins, I'm a big fan of the beach, I’m rarely without music---really love to check out live music---and I enjoy entertaining friends and family at our home.  Our parents both live relatively close by which is really special.

My friends are an awesome collection of people that mean so much to me.  I love laughing, speak fluent sarcasm and consider myself to be an upbeat person—most days.

So come on in, pull up a chair and enjoy the show!

Our Sweet Family
